Itinerary
In the morning, take a flight to Ulgii (~2.5 hours), the capital of Bayan-Ulgii, Mongolia’s westernmost province. Upon arrival at Olgii Airport, you’ll be warmly welcomed by your English-speaking tour guide, expedition cook, and driver. With all camping and cooking gear already packed and ready, we’ll set off for the northern part of the National Park, the beautiful Oigor Valley.

This morning we set out for Altai Tavan Bogd which means “The Holy Fivereferring to Mongolia’s five highest peaks, including majestic Mount Huiten at 4,374 meters above sea level. All are permanently snowcapped, creating a breathtaking panorama. We will drive close to the Presidential Ovoo ritual site. before beginning our hike to the Potanin Glacier — one of Central Asia’s largest. After exploring, we’ll hike back to President’s Hill for a sweeping view of the Altai Mountains.

We will continue our journey to the Khoton and Khurgan lakes which is twin lakes in the southern part of the national park. This picturesque region, known as Sirgaly (“beautiful” in Kazakh), is a favorite summer pasture for local nomads. On the way, we’ll stop at the striking White River, which flows from the Potanin Glacier. Its milky color comes from mineral-rich glacial silt. By the afternoon, we’ll arrive at the shores of Khoton Lake, giving you time to relax and fully enjoy this serene and picturesque environment.

Today we’ll drive back to Olgii, passing Lake Khar Nuur and Sagsai Village along the way (about 6 hours, 180 km). On the way, we’ll meet eagle hunters and experience the fascinating culture of the Kazakh nomads. You’ll witness the ancient art of eagle falconry, enjoy traditional Kazakh cuisine, and learn about their way of life. Once in Olgii, we’ll visit a Nairamdal hill overlooking the town, stop by local handicraft shops, and explore the Bazaar. In the evening, we’ll stay at a local tourist camp and enjoy a small folk music concert, featuring traditional instruments and songs.

Today, we will return to Ulaanbaatar. Upon arrival at the city We will visit to Sukhbaatar square which lies at the heart of the city surrounded by important buildings such as the government palace, banks and theaters, and post office. Evening is dedicate to visiting Cultural folk show concert in the city, which is featuring traditional performances by singers, dancers, and contortionists. It’s a great chance to hear Khöömii (throat singing) and see some fabulous costumes.

After breakfast, our excursion continues to Elsen Tasarkhai - the beautiful sand dunes is covered with rare bushes shrubs such as willow, elm and dogwood and a small forest near a river. It is very unique to see this type of ecosystem, combination of mountains, forests, steppes and sand dunes in one location.
After lunch at tourist camp, we will visit camel herder family and explore their unique nomadic lifestyle and discover this magnificent place from on camel back. Dinner and overnight at Tourist camp. Our excursion continues to Kharkhorin, a small village, and one of the country's major tourist destinations. Historically once was the ancient capital of the Mongol Empire and the most important city in the history of the Silk Road.

This morning, drive to the Hustai National Park, where world’s last wild horse (never domesticated), Takhi inhabit. Upon arrival at Hustai, visit small Ger information center- shows some detailed information about last truly wild horses. After enjoying lunch at the tourist camp, take a short drive and walking to see the horses in their natural habitat. There is a great opportunity to take photos for these endangered horses. You may be lucky to see fox, deer, roe deer, eagle, and more animals and birds… in the evening return to Ulaanbaatar.

In the morning, we will head to Terelj National Park. This is the nearest and the most breathtaking sightseeing from the capital Ulaanbaatar and the landscape is impressive with the magnificent rocky mountainous scene and a lucid river and green groves.
Your private guide and driver will lead you first to “Genghis Khan Statue Complex” which is currently the biggest (40m high) equestrian statue in the world. You can go inside and enjoy museums, souvenir shops and restaurants. Afterward, we will explore the national park and see Turtle Rock – the symbol of the National Park. You can take a photo of the rock and climb on the rock if you want,
Also, visit the Ariyabal meditation temple - Once you reach the temple and stand on the top of the hill, you will be amused by the whole park view. Later in the evening return to Ulaanbaatar and transfer to your hotel.
