Most Mongolia tour packages include full-board meals — breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Meat is the main ingredient in Mongolian cuisine, especially for lunch and dinner. As a country with deep nomadic traditions, Mongolian food often features beef, mutton, or goat, providing travelers with hearty and energy-rich dishes perfect for the country’s vast landscapes.
Meals in Ulaanbaatar

When staying in Ulaanbaatar, breakfasts are included in your hotel accommodation. Lunches and dinners are usually served at popular local restaurants, giving you the chance to experience authentic Mongolian dishes and the country’s distinctive dining culture.
For travelers who prefer international options, Ulaanbaatar offers a wide range of cuisines, including Korean, Japanese, Chinese, French, German, Russian, and Latin American restaurants. These can be arranged upon request.

Meals at Tourist Ger Camps
Staying at a tourist ger camp is an unforgettable part of any Mongolia tour — and meals are an important part of the experience.
Breakfast
Most tourist ger camps and hotels provide a buffet-style breakfast that typically includes:
Tea or coffee
Bread, jam, and butter
Eggs and sausages
Pancakes, cookies, or cereals
Breakfasts are usually simple but fresh
and satisfying before your day’s adventure.
Lunch and Dinner
Lunches and dinners at ger camps are pre-arranged and served as 3–4 course meals, which may include:
Soup and/or salad
Main dish (usually meat with rice, pasta, or vegetables)
Dessert
Bottled water
Because some camps are located in remote areas, menu options may be limited. However, meals are generally tasty, healthy, and freshly prepared.
If your itinerary includes stops at local roadside restaurants, you’ll have the opportunity to order your preferred meal directly from the menu.

Special Diets and Food Preferences
Vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free meals are available upon request. Please make sure to inform your booking agent in advance of any special dietary needs. Early notice ensures your guide or cook can prepare suitable options throughout your trip.
Water and Drinks
Each guest receives two 0.5L bottles of drinking water per day (or one 1.5L bottle upon request). Please note that alcoholic beverages and soft drinks are not included in the tour package, but they are available for purchase at restaurants, ger camps, or small shops along the route.
Do we share tables with others?
Private Tours
If you are traveling on a private tour, you will have your own table during meals. However, your guide and driver often share the same table with you, creating a friendly and authentic travel atmosphere.
Group Tours
If you join a group tour, you will usually share a large table with other group members. Your guide and driver will dine at the same restaurant but at a separate table, ensuring comfort and space for everyone.
