Itinerary

Welcome to Ulaanbaatar, the capital city of Mongolia. Your private driver pick you up and you will be escorted to the hotel. After check-in, if you feel like going for a walk and checking out places nearby, feel free to ask the hotel receptionist for recommendations.

After breakfast, our excursion continues to Elsen Tasarkhai - the beautiful sand dunes is covered with rare bushes shrubs such as willow, elm and dogwood and a small forest near a river. It is very unique to see this type of ecosystem, combination of mountains, forests, steppes and sand dunes in one location. After lunch at tourist camp, we will visit camel herder family and explore their unique nomadic lifestyle and discover this magnificent place from on camel back. Dinner and overnight at Tourist camp.

After enjoy your breakfast, we will head to famous Tsenkher hot spring that reaches +86.5"C and its flow rate is 10 liters per second. Curative water and amazing nature featured by wooded mountains make this an excellent place for relaxing in hot spring. In the afternoon, we will visit nomad family – experience nomadic life and enjoy tasting dairy products.

After breakfast, our excursion continues to Kharkhorin, a small village, and one of the country's major tourist destinations. Historically once was an ancient capital of Mongol Empire and the most important cities in the history of the Silk Road.

Upon arrival, we will visit the museum of Karakorum and learn more about the Mongolian history. Continue the guided tour to the magnificent and the oldest Buddhist Monastery complex of Erdenezuu.

After enjoy your lunch, we will take 1.5hrs drive to Ugii Lake which is the closest freshwater lake to Ulaanbaatar. It is protected by the International Ramsar Convention and most important transit point for migratory birds. Check-in Ger camp on shore of the lake. The rest of the day free time for you to be on your own.

This morning, drive to the Hustai National Park, where world’s last wild horse (never domesticated), Takhi inhabit. Upon arrival at Hustai, visit small Ger information center- shows some detailed information about last truly wild horses. After enjoy lunch at the tourist camp, take a short drive and walking to see the horses in their natural habitat. There is a great opportunity to take photos for these endangered horses. You may be lucky to see fox, deer, roe deer, eagle, and more animals and birds…

At 9.00 am, depart to Terelj National Park. The nearest and the most breathtaking sightseeing from the capital Ulaanbaatar. At the entrance of the National Park, stop at Ovoo – rock pile; nature worshipping place of nomads.

Then you will explore the national park and see Turtle Rock - the symbol of the National Park. You can climb on the rock if you want, Also, visit the Ariyabal meditation temple - Once you reach the temple and stand on the top of hill, you will be amused by the whole park view. Check into one of the best tourist camps and have lunch. Rest of the day is free time for you to be on your own.

Enjoy delicious breakfast and take a short drive to visit “Genghis Khan Statue Complex” which is currently the biggest (40m high) equestrian statue in the world. You can go inside and enjoy museums, souvenir shops. On the way to Ulaanbaatar, you will visit Kazakh family in Nalaikh village. Experience the lifestyle of Kazakh family – ethnic minority, well known as their hospitability. Once you have lunch at Kazakh family, return to Ulaanbaatar. Visit Zaisan Memorial Hill which is a popular tourist attraction and one of the highlights of Ulanbaatar, because of its fantastic views it offers over the city. You will be transferred to the hotel at around 5pm.

🍽️ Meals in Mongolia Tours

Most of our Mongolia tour packages include full-board meals — breakfast, lunch, and dinner. In Ulaanbaatar, lunches or dinners are served at popular local restaurants, giving you the opportunity to experience genuine Mongolian cuisine and the country’s unique dining culture. At tourist ger camps, lunches and dinners are pre-arranged and include 3–4 courses — soup and/or salad, main dish, dessert, and bottled water. If your itinerary includes stops at local roadside restaurants, you’ll be able to choose meals directly from the menu. In Ulaanbaatar, a wider range of cuisines — including Korean, Japanese, and Chinese dishes — is available upon request.

Special Diets: Vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free meals are available with advance notice.
