Itinerary

Welcome to Ulaanbaatar, the capital city of Mongolia. Our professional guide will meet you at the Arrival Hall of the airport, carrying a board with your name. Afterward, you will be escorted to the hotel.

Today, the opening ceremony of the Naadam Festival takes place at the central stadium. It’s Mongolia’s most important festival and biggest national holiday, which allows travelers to observe and experience authentic Mongolian culture.
The festival includes 3 manly games: horse racing, Mongolian-style wrestling, and archery. 

  •    At 8am picked up from the hotel lobby, join in Naadam group and visit central Naadam stadium.

  •    First your guide leads you to the stadium of anklebone shooting competition.

  •    Then, you can enjoy archery competition outside of stadium, before opening ceremony starts.

  •    At 11am The Opening Ceremony starts once “Nine White Banners” are carried by honored guard from Government Palace to be settled in the middle of Stadium 

  •    Once finish the opening ceremony, we will watch the beginning of 1st part of Mongolian national wrestling. In the usual 512 wrestler tournament, there will be nine elimination rounds of wrestling over two days.

  •    Then take short drive to see the horse racing at Hui Doloon Hudag

After breakfast, our excursion continues to Elsen Tasarkhai - the beautiful sand dunes is covered with rare bushes shrubs such as willow, elm and dogwood and a small forest near a river. It is very unique to see this type of ecosystem, combination of mountains, forests, steppes and sand dunes in one location. After lunch at tourist camp, we will visit camel herder family and explore their unique nomadic lifestyle and discover this magnificent place from on camel back. Dinner and overnight at Tourist camp.

After that we will go to Khugnu Khan National park and enjoy hiking, horse or camel riding, wildlife and bird watching, and exploring the historic Uvgun Monastery at the park.

At 9 am, your tour guide and driver will pick you up and start your trip to Kharkhorin, a small village, and one of the country's major tourist destinations. Historically once was an ancient capital of Mongol Empire and the most important cities in the history of the Silk Road.

Upon arrival, we will visit the museum of Karakorum and learn more about the Mongolian history. Continue the guided tour to the magnificent and the oldest Buddhist Monastery complex of Erdenezuu.

Then we will head to Lake Ugii. Dinner and overnight at tourist camp on the shore of steppe lake.

This morning, drive to the Hustai National Park, where world’s last wild horse (never domesticated), Takhi inhabit. Upon arrival at Hustai, visit small Ger information center- shows some detailed information about last truly wild horses.

After enjoying lunch at the tourist camp, take a short drive and walking to see the horses in their natural habitat. There is a great opportunity to take photos for these endangered horses. You may be lucky to see fox, deer, roe deer, eagle, and more animals and birds… in the evening return to Ulaanbaatar.

In the morning, we will head to Terelj National Park. This is the nearest and the most breathtaking sightseeing from the capital Ulaanbaatar and the landscape is impressive with the magnificent rocky mountainous scene and a lucid river and green groves.

Your private guide and driver will lead you first to “Genghis Khan Statue Complex” which is currently the biggest (40m high) equestrian statue in the world. You can go inside and enjoy museums, souvenir shops and restaurants. Afterward, we will explore the national park and see Turtle Rock – the symbol of the National Park. You can take a photo of the rock and climb on the rock if you want.

Also, visit the Ariyabal meditation temple - Once you reach the temple and stand on the top of the hill, you will be amused by the whole park view. Later in the evening return to Ulaanbaatar and transfer to your hotel.

As your memorable trip comes to end, then you will be transferred to the airport for your flight to your next destination or home.

🍽️ Meals in Mongolia Tours

Most of our Mongolia tour packages include full-board meals — breakfast, lunch, and dinner. In Ulaanbaatar, lunches or dinners are served at popular local restaurants, giving you the opportunity to experience genuine Mongolian cuisine and the country’s unique dining culture. At tourist ger camps, lunches and dinners are pre-arranged and include 3–4 courses — soup and/or salad, main dish, dessert, and bottled water. If your itinerary includes stops at local roadside restaurants, you’ll be able to choose meals directly from the menu. In Ulaanbaatar, a wider range of cuisines — including Korean, Japanese, and Chinese dishes — is available upon request.

Special Diets: Vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free meals are available with advance notice.
