Itinerary

In the morning at 9:30 am, your private guide and driver pick you up and head to Kharkhorin, a small village, and one of the country's major tourist destinations. Historically known as Karakorum, which was an ancient capital of the Mongol Empire and the most important city in the history of the Silk Road, was founded by Genghis Khan in 1220.

On arrival, we will visit the museum of Karakorum and learn more about Mongolian history. Next, do short walking to the Hill to see the whole village. Then we will visit village family home to learn how to cook Mongolian meal. Check-in to a good local guest house and dinner is at your hotel.

Accommodation: Local Hostel in Kharkhorin.

This morning at 9 am, you will meet with your guide and driver at your hotel and drive to the Hustai National Park, where the world’s last wild horse (never domesticated), Takhi inhabits. En route, On the way, we will visit Mini Gobi Elsen Tasarkhai - the beautiful sand dunes. There you will discover this magnificent place on camelback. Upon arrival at Hustai, visit the small Ger information center, which shows some detailed information about the last truly wild horses. Also you will see the wild horses in their natural habitat. Drive to Ulaanbaatar.

At 8.00 am, depart for Terelj National Park. the nearest and the most breathtaking sightseeing from the capital Ulaanbaatar. En route, you will visit “Genghis Khan Statue Complex” which is currently the biggest (40m high) equestrian statue in the world. You can go inside and enjoy the museums and souvenir shops.

Then we will take a short drive to the dog sledding camp and then enjoy dog sledding with a team of Huskies. Lead your own team and sled in a magical winter atmosphere.

Following lunch, we will explore the national park and see Turtle Rock - the symbol of the National Park. You can climb on the rock if you want, Also, visit the Ariyabal meditation temple - Once you reach the temple and stand on the top of the hill, you will be amused by the whole park view. Return to UB and transfer to hotel.
