During this 2-day short tour, observe the world’s last wild horses at Hustai National Park, visit a real nomadic family, admire the dramatic scenery of Terelj National Park, and explore the tallest Genghis Khan Statue Complex in the world.

Itinerary

This morning at 9 am, you will meet with your guide and driver at your hotel and visit Zaisan Memorial Hill is a popular tourist attraction and one of the highlights of Ulan Baatar because of the fantastic views it offers over the city. Then drive to the Hustai National Park, where the world’s last wild horse (never domesticated), Takhi inhabit. En route, visit nomad family – experience nomadic life and enjoy tasting dairy products. Upon arrival at Hustai, visit the small Ger information center- which shows some detailed information about the last truly wild horses.

After enjoying lunch at the tourist camp, you will drive to Ungut Mountain in the national park and to see Ungut man stones, the largest ensemble of monuments not only in Mongolia but also in central Asia. This man stone ensemble dates back to the 6-8th centuries. Also, you will see the wild horses in their natural habitat. Have dinner and overnight at the Ger camp. In the morning at 8 am, head to “Genghis Khan Statue Complex” which is currently the biggest (40m high) equestrian statue in the world. You can go inside and enjoy museums, souvenir shops. Take a short drive to visit Terelj National Park. This is one of the nearest and the most breathtaking sightseeing from the capital Ulaanbaatar and the landscape is impressive with the magnificent rocky mountainous scenes and a lucid river and green groves.
After lunch at the tourist camp, we will explore the national park and see Turtle Rock – the symbol of the National Park. You can take a photo of the rock and climb on the rock if you want. Also, visit the Ariyabal meditation temple - Once you reach the temple and stand on the top of the hill, you will be amused by the whole park view. Return to Ulaanbaatar and you will be transferred to a location of your choice.
