Itinerary

After breakfast, our excursion continues to Mini Gobi Elsen Tasarkhai - the beautiful sand dunes is covered with rare bushes shrubs such as willow, elm and dogwood and a small forest near a river. It is very unique to see this type of ecosystem, combination of mountains, forests, steppes and sand dunes in one location. After lunch at tourist camp, we will visit camel herder family and explore their unique nomadic lifestyle and discover this magnificent place from on camel back. Dinner and overnight at Tourist camp.

Today we will travel across vast grassy plains, interspersed with basalt rocks and meandering rivers. After having lunch, do horse trekking along Orkhon valley until we reach the magnificent Orkhon waterfall or known as Ulaantsutgalan which is one of the best sights in central Mongolia. About 25m downstream from the waterfall you can climb down to the bottom of the gorge; 22m deep and dotted with pine trees. In the evening, we ride a horse nearby Orkhon Waterfall.

At 9am, continue our horse trekking journey to Kharkhorin, a small village, and one of the country's major tourist destinations. Historically once was an ancient capital of Mongol Empire and the most important cities in the history of the Silk Road.

Upon arrival, we will visit the museum of Karakorum and learn more about the Mongolian history. Continue the guided tour to the magnificent and the oldest Buddhist Monastery complex of Erdenezuu. In the evening, we ride a horse nearby Khangai mountains and Orkhon river.

On this day, We will journey back to Ulaanbaatar. Along the way, we will stop to visit a local nomadic family, where you’ll have the chance to learn about their way of life and traditions. To deepen your connection to Mongolian culture, we will also experience Mongolian horse riding on the vast steppe, giving you a firsthand taste of the equestrian heritage that has shaped the nomadic lifestyle for centuries. This enriching experience will offer you a unique glimpse into Mongolia’s heart and soul before returning to the city.

🍽️ Meals in Mongolia Tours

Most of our Mongolia tour packages include full-board meals — breakfast, lunch, and dinner. In Ulaanbaatar, lunches or dinners are served at popular local restaurants, giving you the opportunity to experience genuine Mongolian cuisine and the country’s unique dining culture. At tourist ger camps, lunches and dinners are pre-arranged and include 3–4 courses — soup and/or salad, main dish, dessert, and bottled water. If your itinerary includes stops at local roadside restaurants, you’ll be able to choose meals directly from the menu. In Ulaanbaatar, a wider range of cuisines — including Korean, Japanese, and Chinese dishes — is available upon request.

Special Diets: Vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free meals are available with advance notice.

In the Countryside: During your trip, you’ll stay in Tourist Ger Camps, Mongolia’s signature accommodation. Each camp features traditional Gers (yurts) with scenic surroundings.

Winter Tours
