If you have limited time but want to experience the Southern Gobi, the Mini Gobi & Terelj National Park 3-day tour is the perfect choice. Explore a diverse landscape, from the Mini Gobi Desert and its sand dunes, to the dramatic cliffs and rock formations of Terelj National Park, and the rolling grassy hills of Hustai National Park.

Itinerary

In the morning at 9am, head to “Genghis Khan Statue Complex” which is currently the biggest (40m high) equestrian statue in the world. You can go inside and enjoy museums, souvenir shops. Take a short drive to visit Terelj National Park. This is one of the nearest and the most breathtaking sightseeing from the capital Ulaanbaatar and landscape is impressive with magnificent rocky mountainous scene and a lucid river and green groves.   Next see Turtle Rock – the symbol of the National Park. You can take a photo of rock and climb on the rock if you want. Also, visit the Ariyabal meditation temple - stand on the top of hill, you will be amused by the whole park view. Return to Ulaanbaatar and you will be transferred at a location of your choice.

At 8 am, we will head to Mini Gobi (Elsen Tasarkhai) sand dunes - the beautiful dunes are covered with rare bushes shrubs such as willow, elm, and dogwood and a small forest near a river. It is very unique to see this type of ecosystem, a combination of mountains, forests, steppes, and dunes in one location. After lunch at the tourist camp, we will visit a camel herder family and explore their unique nomadic lifestyle and discover this magnificent place on camelback. Dinner and overnight at Tourist camp.

This morning, drive to the Hustai National Park, where the world’s last wild horse (never domesticated), Takhi inhabit.  En route, visit nomad family – experience nomadic life and enjoy tasting dairy products. Upon arrival at Hustai, visit the small Ger information center- which shows some detailed information about the last truly wild horses. On the way, we will visit to Nomad Family to experience the nomadic lifestyle and enjoy tasting dairy products. After enjoying lunch at the tourist camp, take a short drive and walking to take photos of the wild horses in their natural habitat. In the evening, return to Ulaanbaatar

🍽️ Meals in Mongolia Tours

Most of our Mongolia tour packages include full-board meals — breakfast, lunch, and dinner. In Ulaanbaatar, lunches or dinners are served at popular local restaurants, giving you the opportunity to experience genuine Mongolian cuisine and the country’s unique dining culture. At tourist ger camps, lunches and dinners are pre-arranged and include 3–4 courses — soup and/or salad, main dish, dessert, and bottled water. If your itinerary includes stops at local roadside restaurants, you’ll be able to choose meals directly from the menu. In Ulaanbaatar, a wider range of cuisines — including Korean, Japanese, and Chinese dishes — is available upon request.

Special Diets: Vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free meals are available with advance notice.

Winter Tours
