Khar Zurkhnii Khukh Nuur Tourist Camp has been operating since 2004 and is located in Tsenkhermandal soum, Khentii Province, approximately 235 km from Ulaanbaatar. Situated near the historic Khar Zurkh Mountain and the famous Khukh Nuur (Blue Lake), the camp is surrounded by dense forests, pristine lakes, and breathtaking mountain scenery, making it one of the most significant historical and natural destinations in Mongolia.

Khukh Nuur is deeply connected to Mongolia’s history. In 1189, Temujin was proclaimed the ruler of Khamag Mongol at this site and received the title of Chinggis Khaan (Genghis Khan). The area is also mentioned in the famous Secret History of the Mongols. Today, visitors can explore a memorial complex featuring wooden carvings of 36 Mongol rulers from the Golden Lineage, monuments dedicated to Chinggis Khaan and his family, and sculptures of his nine great generals.
