Gobi Mirage Lodge is a locally founded tourist camp established in 2005 by a Mongolian couple with extensive experience guiding travelers through the Gobi region. Located in South Gobi Province, the camp offers a convenient and strategic base for exploring the desert’s major natural attractions as well as access to the local airport, all within approximately one hour of travel. Built on firsthand knowledge of traveler needs, Gobi Mirage Lodge is designed as an “oasis of hospitality” in the desert. The camp operates with a strong focus on environmentally and culturally responsible tourism, including sustainable systems for power supply, water usage, and waste management.

Over the years, the camp has gained strong recognition for service quality, including being named the best tourism organization in South Gobi Province in 2006 and 2008, and receiving the “best tourist camp” award from the Mongolian Tourism Association in 2009. It also holds a “two flower” quality rating, reflecting its consistent service standards.
