It is located 100 km from Ulaanbaatar, in Erdene soum, Tuv aimag. 27 km drive by paved road from the statue of Chinggis Khaan to Erdene soum and then further 18 km drive on an improved dirt road to the southeast.  It was established in 2006. 13th-century tourist camp covers an area of around 3km square. It is divided into six ‘camps’ each showing important cultural aspects of 13th Century life in Mongolia.
