Experience Mongolia on a budget-friendly 3-day tour, staying with a nomad family and exploring nearby national parks. Enjoy authentic community-based experiences, hike scenic landscapes, and observe wildlife, including the rare Przewalski’s wild horses. Perfect for travelers seeking adventure, culture, and nature without breaking the bank.

Itinerary

This morning you will meet with your guide and driver at your hotel at 9 am and depart to the Hustai National Park, where the world’s last wild horse (never domesticated), Takhi inhabit.  After check-in and lunch at Tourist camp, we will visit the small Ger information center- shows some detailed information about the last truly wild horses. 
      Then drive to the southern valley of Ungut Mountain in the national park and to see Ungut, man stone complex, dates back to the 6-8th centuries AD. Also, you will see the horses in their natural habitat.  There is a great opportunity to take photos of these endangered horses. Next, head to your host nomad family – experience nomadic life and enjoy tasting dairy products. There you can ride a horse and have free time for you to explore and see nomad family daily life.

At 9.00 am, depart for Terelj National Park. the nearest and the most breathtaking sightseeing from the capital Ulaanbaatar. 
After lunch, we will explore the national park and see Turtle Rock - the symbol of the National Park. You can climb on the rock if you want, Also, visit the Ariyabal meditation temple. Once you reach the temple and stand on the top of a hill, you will be amused by the whole park view. Arrive your host family and enjoy a traditional meal and relax in beautiful Mongolian Ger surrounded by dramatic natural beauty.

In the morning, we will return to Ulaanbaatar. On the way visit “Genghis Khan Statue Complex” which is currently the biggest (40m high) equestrian statue in the world. 
      Upon arrival in Ulaanbaatar, visit Zaisan Memorial Hill which is a popular tourist attraction and one of the highlights of Ulaan Baatar because of the fantastic views it offers over the city. After lunch at a local decent restaurant, Then, we will check Sukhbaatar square which lies at the heart of the city surrounded by important buildings such as the government palace, banks, theaters, and post office. Transferred to your hotel and end of service.

🍽️ Meals in Mongolia Tours

Most of our Mongolia tour packages include full-board meals — breakfast, lunch, and dinner. In Ulaanbaatar, lunches or dinners are served at popular local restaurants, giving you the opportunity to experience genuine Mongolian cuisine and the country’s unique dining culture. At tourist ger camps, lunches and dinners are pre-arranged and include 3–4 courses — soup and/or salad, main dish, dessert, and bottled water. If your itinerary includes stops at local roadside restaurants, you’ll be able to choose meals directly from the menu. In Ulaanbaatar, a wider range of cuisines — including Korean, Japanese, and Chinese dishes — is available upon request.

Special Diets: Vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free meals are available with advance notice.

In Ulaanbaatar: You’ll stay in centrally located 4-star or 5-star hotels (for private tours) or 3-star hotels (for group tours), chosen for comfort and accessibility.

In the Countryside: During your trip, you’ll stay in Tourist Ger Camps, Mongolia’s signature accommodation. Each camp features traditional Gers (yurts) with scenic surroundings.

  • Private Tours: Most nights include ensuite tourist ger camps (private bathrooms), with a few nights at standard camps.

  • Group Tours: Stay in standard tourist ger camps offering the best available comfort for group travel. Ensuite options can be arranged for an additional cost.

Winter Tours
